Elaine Isaak is the author of The Singer's Crown, The Bastard Queen and Eunuch's Heirs and numerous short fiction. At the beginning of her career she attended the Odyssey Speculative Fiction Workshop. In response to having two children around when she first began sending The Singer's Crown to publishers, she wrote faster and as of 2012 has just finished her thirteenth novel.
